Bits and Facts of Harry Potter part 2


Drew this one too. But mind you, I only copied this from the book illustration (first page of HP1). I don't know how to draw with nothing to copy from you see. :))

MAGICAL CREATURES:

·         House elves –servants bound to serve one family which their ancestors were bound
·         Ghouls –grumpy ugly creatures that just groans and mess one’s house
·         Gnomes –garden pests
·         Slug –garden pests 
·         Unicorn –magical horse-like creatures who has powerful powers, unicorn hairs are used for wandmaking 
·         Centaur –deep and full of wisdom, can read the future through star gazing
·         Mandrakes –plants that are ingredients for the potion to cure petrified living things 
·         Pixies –house pests 
·         Basilisk –King of serpents, anyone who looks into its eyes gets killed 
·         Phoenix –dies and gets reborn in its ashes, can lift highly heavy objects ten times its size, has healing powers, and very faithful to its master 











·         HIPPOGRIFFS –half-horse, half-eagle 

·         Veela –very beautiful women, who turns into a monster when angry, with a cruel-beaked bird heads and long scaly wings
·         Leprechauns –tiny little bearden men, with red vests, brings about leprechaun coins that vanishes after a few hours
·         Sphinx –has a body of an over-large lion but the head is that of a woman
·         Merpeople –those who live underwater and can only be heard singing underwater


·         Doxy –house pest
·         Bowtruckles –tree guardians, usually live in wand trees
·         Thestrals –skeletal winged horses that you can only see if you have seen death

·         POCKET SNEAKOSCOPE –resembles a top, lights up and spins when there is someone untrustworthy around

·         MARAUDER’S MAP –a map showing every detail of Hogwarts Castle and grounds, even the secret passages in and out of it. It also shows people who are inside it whether invisible, transformed, or even a ghost.

·         OMNIOCULARS –can replay action, slow everything down, and they flash up a play by play breakdown

·         PENSIEVE –stuffs one’s excess thoughts so you can examine it anytime at one’s leisure. Helps you spot patterns or links to better understand a situation. 
·         PORTKEY –a charmed, ordinary, unnoticeable muggle thing that will transport you to the place desired by the person who charmed it 
·         GOBLET OF FIRE –used for the Triwizard Tournament, an ancient goblet who selects the champions of its school and once chosen, bound to the rules governing the tournament, no backing out 
·         TRIWIZARD CUP –the cup for the last task, whoever wins gets eternal glory, a sack of galleons, and the cup 
·         FOE GLASS –a mirror that shows the face of your enemy clearly when your enemy is coming very near 


·         PROPHECY –encased in a glass ball, stored in the Department of Mysteries, and only the recipient of the prophecy can take it out of its shelf

·         EXTENDABLE EARS – use to eavesdrop; can hear what’s happening from a closed room or even a far distance 

·         MARVOLO’S RING – one of the horcrux’s, the resurrection stone from the deathly hallow’s tale

·         PERUVIAN POWDER – instant darkness powder, used mainly by thieves or for jokes
·         SPECTRESPECS – magical spectacles, used to identify wrackspurt around
·         FELIX FELICIS – liquid luck, gives you luck for a period of time depending on the dosage
